Description: | | On Sunday, January 25th at 2:00 PM in the USF School of Music Concert Hall, the Composition in Asia International Symposium and Festival will conclude with a concert honoring the achievements of
four internationally-renowned women composers from China, Korea, and Taiwan: Wan-ki Lee (China), Kyong Mee Choi (Korea), Eunhye Kim (Korea), and Chihchun Chi- sun Lee (Taiwan). The program will
include My Cagey Companions (Wan-ki Lee), Les Douze Signes (Eunhye Kim), the North American premiere of ZAS for zheng and saxophone (Chihchun Lee). Kyong Mee Choi will be represented by
two works, a touching multi- media tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings (Tender Spirit), and a piece for six percussionists and electronics. |
