Coleman, present a varied afternoon of Renaissance and Baroque music featuring the lute, archlute,
theorbo, recorder, Baroque oboe, and harpsichord. The program includes lute solos (Francis Cutting,
Richard Allison, Diomedes Cato, Alessandro Piccinini), early seventeenth c. Italian songs, archlute
music by Francesco Zamboni, a sonata for theorbo and harpsichord by Giovanni Pittoni, a
recorder/continuo sonata by Francesco Barsanti, and one of Georg Philipp Telemann's sacred
cantatas for soprano, Baroque oboe, and continuo. It will be lutes of fun for all! |
