The Stuart-Ivanov Duo presents “The Green Violinist”, a multimedia performance in
two parts:
Part One, “The Armoire” features the music of repressed Soviet composer Nikolai
Roslavets, animation by Andrei Khrjanovsky, poetry by Anna Akhmatova, and
documentary footage from Soviet Russia.
Part Two, “Triptych” is a series of vignettes with music by Schnittke, Auerbach,
Silvestrov, Shchedrin, and Stravinsky.
