Thirst Splitter/Beaches, Work, Swimmers and the Night

Event Type: Exhibition
Facility: Carolyn M. Wilson Gallery
Presented By: School of Art & Art History
Description:
Thirst Splitter is an exhibition by graduate students, Jason Pinckard and Kyle Timberman. The theme revolves around their shared visceral attraction to and use of the cast off, undesired, man-made
refuse in our every day environment. Using collected found materials, the artists push their surfaces, textures, forms and colors to disrupt their normative associations and transform them into layered,
evocative experiences.

Beaches, Work, Swimmers and the Night is an exhibition featuring paintings by graduate student Ian Wilson. His abstract, figurative works reference the sublime as well as activities from the artist's every
day life.

The Carolyn M. Wilson Gallery is open M-Th, 11am-3pm.

This exhibition is free and open to the public.

A reception will be held January 18, 2019 from 7-9pm.
