Description: 
The USF School of Music presents a varied concert of World and North American premieres 
celebrating the achievements of one of the finest women composers in South Korea, Kim Eunhye. A 
professor at Suwon University in Korea, Kim Eunhye did her advanced training in France, and has 
developed a reputation as one of the most imaginative Korean composers whose mixture of Korean 
and Western styles includes fascinating pieces based on the folk song Arirang and animal pieces 
inspired by signs of the Zodiac. The event includes her Trio for violin, cello and piano, Cow for 
English horn and piano, Arari XI for 2 flutes and piano, songs, and marches for wind ensemble. 
Featured performers for the event include faculty Eunmi Ko, Kim McCormick, Kyoung Cho, John 
Robison, and the USF Wind Ensemble conducted by John Carmichael in the world premieres of her 
marches for wind ensemble.
