Description: | | USF professor John Robison and the Bay Baroque Ensemble present an abso-lute-ly amazing and
varied program of early music ranging from the late Renaissance to Baroque (c. 1580 to 1750). The
program includes Dr. Robison performing solo 10-course Renaissance lute music by English, Flemish,
and German composers, solo archlute music by Zamboni, and in collaboration with USF staff
accompanist Dr. Dana Milan, a theorbo Sonata by Giovanni Pittoni. The Bay Baroque Ensemble
portion of the concert, featuring guest artists Patrick Baran (violin), Terry Rejko (violin), Valeria Frege
(viola), and Dana Milan (harpsichord), will feature a recorder concerto by Telemann, and conclude
with one of the best Baroque oboe concertos by Tomaso Albinoni. |
