USF Jazz Ensemble I presents "Three In One" featuring the Big Band Compositions of Chuck Owen, Sammy Nestico, and the late great Thad Jones who titled a composition "Three in One.  Three 

composers, Chuck Owen, Sammy Nestico, and Thad Jones, will be featured on this concert. The Jazz Ensemble will perform three works from each composer. The Jazz Ensemble I is a large jazz 

Ensemble filled with the some of the finest musicians at USF who happen to all be music majors. Undergraduates, graduate students, performance majors, Music Education Majors, and composition 

majors, Jazz and otherwise. Led by trombone professor and Jazz professor Tom Brantley, the Ensemble does believe what Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and Kurt Weill all said in the twentieth 

century in three separate interviews, "There are simply two types of Music, good and bad."
