6-8pm: Open mic-spoken word related to The Return of the Real
USFCAM invites poets, readers, activists, and the community to a public spoken word/open mic event inspired by the USFCAM exhibition The Return of the Real and the poetry of resistance. The
event will take place in the Cantina at the historic Centro Asturiano in Ybor City. USFCAM Curator of Education Leslie Elsasser will lead an exhibition tour on October 18 at 1:30pm. Participants will learn
about the exhibition, artwork, and artists as inspiration for the open mic, Poetry of Resistance.
