Our guest choreographers include Maurice Causey -- based in Europe, American-born choreographer Maurice Causey has created original pieces for Stockholm 59 North, O Dance, Company C, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HS2), and the Milwaukee Ballet, to name a few. The world premiere of a new piece for Tanz Luzerner Theater, with an original score by Gabriel Prokofiev, will take place in Switzerland in 2013. Patrick Damon Rago, Co-Chair and Associate Professor for the dance program at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and founder of the Palindrome Performance Group, telling human stories through dance. Alvin Rangel began his professional career performing ballet and jazz in his native Puerto Rico. At CSUF he teaches modern dance, ballet, improvisation and dance composition, and his dance project, Tango Vesre [Inverted Tango] has received national and international recognition. And to round out the guest artists, Donna Mejia. She is a choreographer, lecturer, teacher, administrator, and performer specializing in contemporary dance, traditions of the Arab/African Diaspora, and new fusion traditions in world electronica. Donna is amongst a handful of artists authorized to instruct the Brazilian Silvestre Modern Dance Technique.
