Description: | | On Thursday, November 20, at 7:30 pm, the USF Wind Ensemble will be presenting their second
performance of the Fall semester in the School of Music Concert Hall. The title of the concert is A
Little Bit City, A Little Bit Country. The program will feature musical selections descriptive of both
locations. For the city, we will perform Three City Blocks by John Harbison and Black Bolt by Jess
Turner. Our country selections will include Kilmartin Glen by Ted Vives and Suite of English Folk
Dances by Ernest Tomlinson. Also representing the country will be the Smetana Fanfare by Karel
Husa and Emblems by Aaron Copland (which quotes Amazing Grace). It will be an exciting and
enjoyable concert. We hope you will be able to attend. |
