USF Trumpet Day

USF Trumpet Day will be held on Tuesday November 12, 2013 in the Music Building at USF from 
8:30-4:30. The guest artist this year is Dr. Karl Sievers from Oklahoma University. A group warm-up 
will start the day followed by a mass trumpet rehearsal with all the participants. Dr. Sievers will be 
presenting a master class for high school students and a master class for university students. Jay 
Coble, Trumpet Professor at USF will give a class demonstrating different trumpets. The USF Trumpet 
Studio will present a recital of trumpet ensemble music, premiering a piece written especially for the 
event. The culminating concert will be a recital by Dr. Sievers that will include the mass trumpet piece 
performed by all of the participants.


Terry Warburton from Terry Warburton Music Products, Bill Prang from Eusonics.com, and Sam Ash 
Music will have exhibits for participants to enjoy a variety of trumpets and related products.
