Description: | | The University of South Florida Opera Workshop, under the direction of Dr. Robyn M. Rocklein,
opens their season with High Society: An Evening of Opera and Classical Musical Theatre. The
enchanting evening opens with music by opera composers Mozart, Dvorak, and Gluck. The program
closes with the iconic musical theatre cross-over standards such as "I Could Have Danced All Night"
from My Fair Lady, "Think of Me" from The Phantom of the Opera, and classic songs of Leonard
Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Schoenberg and Boublil, and the outrageously
entertaining Gilbert and Sullivan. |
