| Description: | | Composer/Arranger Mark Taylor has an illustrious career highlighted by his associations with the Stan
Kenton Orchestra, The United States Army Band (Pershing's Own) where he was chief arranger for
24 years and Hal Leonard Publications. Through the latter he has become one of the most highly
published jazz writers in the country exposing thousands of student musicians to big band jazz
through his music. Released earlier this year, "To the Edge" is Mark's most recent recording as
leader of his own crackerjack, Washington DC-based big band, cementing his reputation as â?oone
of the finest purveyors of the craftâ? (All About Jazz). Led by Mark, the USF Jazz Ensemble will
ensure the swing never stops!! |
