Goin' Nuts |
Event Type: | | Dance |
Facility: | | Theatre 1 (TAT) |
Presented By: | | Jansen Dance Project |
Description: | | Collective Soles Arts Group would like to invite you to experience the Nutcracker in a way you never have before. We have taken everyone’s favorite holiday Ballet and turned it into a present day
extravaganza that the whole family can enjoy. Featuring the music of Duke Ellington, this event is filled with great dance, humor, sarcasm, and a nutty twist to a holiday classic. Our contemporary
Nutcracker entitled "Goin’ Nuts" begins Thanksgiving Day with an annual family gathering. After a day filled with feasting and football, our Dad falls into a deep slumber and our adventure begins.
Joining the festivities is eccentric Aunt Mary who presents the children with a gift. This box of Hope appears throughout our story as a symbol to remind us that less is more, and that the most important
thing is the love we have for one another. From a giant Turkey to football players, shopping frenzies and parties, our Dad is faced with the contemporary challenges that our holidays present. You won’t
want to miss Bay Area Dance Company’s premiere of Goin’ Nuts this December.
