Our annual Black Composers concert celebrates New Orleans songwriters on the city's biggest holiday of the year. Grab a lawn chair or blanket and meet us at The Berm (Music Building, Concert
Hall patio). Stampede Brass band kicks things off with a second line from a surprise location to the Music Building. Jazz vocal ensemble Blue Mood keeps the party going with hits by Louis Armstrong,
Fats Domino, The Dixie Cups, Robin Barnes, PJ Morton and more. Don't worry about dinner- we got a food truck! Kettle & Pit will be selling festival fare with a carnival flare from 7-9pm. Admission is free. Second line @ 6:45pm; Food truck & seating @ 7pm; concert @ 7:30pm. |
