Open Score Exhibition

Event Type: Exhibition
Facility: Contemporary Art Museum
Presented By: USF Institute for Research in Art
Description:
The exhibition Open Score, with its emphasis on the technological aspects of new media, examines the possibilities that these technologies offer as tools for the poetic transformation of reality and the
approach to forms of expression in art and daily life. Featuring the work of an array of international artists, the works take the form of participatory installations, videos, sculpture, and projections. Artists
include Ingrid Bachmann and Bill Vorn (Canada); Patricia Clark and Barry Moon (USA); Luis Gómez, Antonio Gómez Margolles, and Levi Orta (Cuba), Camilo Martínez and Gabriel Zea (Colombia); and
Mariano Sardón (Argentina). Initially curated by Luis Gómez and Dannys Montes de Oca for the 11th Biennial in Havana, Cuba, the Open Score project in the USA is curated by Noel Smith, IRA Curator
of Latin American and Caribbean Art, in collaboration with Gómez and Montes de Oca; organized by USFCAM.
