Discount Crickets is an exhibition inspired by the visual culture of pet stores. Featured artists include Leonidas Dezes, Nadia Ivanova, Ashley Lester, Maxwell Parker and Jonathan Talit. Through the
presentation of sculptures, original audio compositions, and video work, Discount Crickets harnesses this overlooked environment as source material rich with resonance. The artists in this show
experience the casual camp of pet stores, like all encounters with the mundane, as an opportunity for heartfelt, revelatory moments and just cheap fun.
Carolyn M. Wilson Gallery hours are M-Th 11am-3pm.
This event is free and open to the public.
