The concert titled "Bir Saz Bir Söz" aims to revive and represent selected vocal and instrumental 
pieces of Turkish Classical Music from early period to contemporary period. The hour-long concert 
includes playing the oud and singing simultaneously.

Mustafa Hilmi Bulut is Professor and Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts at Cumhuriyet University, Sivas, 
Turkey. He has published five books, "Sivas Halaylarž in Violin Education," "Song Box I," "The 
Ethnography of Zara Region Music," "Music Scientific Research Articles," and  "Song Box II.” He 
has numerous national and international concerts  on Traditional Turkish Musics and Western 
musics. He performed in 45 (oud & violin) public and private concerts. He participated in numerous 
conferences and symposiums in Turkey, Poland, America, and Hong Kong. He has numerous 
presentations and publications on music education and musicology. He also has numerous 
compositions on school musics and Turkish Traditional Musics. He has presented workshops on 
"Using the Violin in Turkish Music" at the University of South Florida and at Castello Branco in 
Portugal, as well as workshops on Traditional Turkish Music with the oud in Estonia. He has led eight 
research projects so far.
