Cameron Gainer is the Spring 2008 Institute for Research in Art and School of Art and Art History Artist-in-Residence. Gainer s residency is jointly supported by the College of Visual and Performing 

Arts, the School of Art and Art History, the IRA, and the USF Botanical Gardens.  Gainer s residency culminates in an exhibition at CAM that features two outdoor sculptures based on well-known 20th 

century hoaxes. Gainer models and sites these sculptures from photographs; often the only form of evidence that sightings actually occurred. Recent exhibitions of Gainer s work include The Fabric
