Description: | | The University of South Florida Symphony Orchestra and conductor William Wiedrich offer a program
of stunning and memorable orchestral works - new and old! The iconic beauty and joy of Copland's
"Appalachian Spring" opens the program. Flutist Francesca Arnone and violist JT Posadas perform
the rarely heard but haunting melodies of Alan Hovhaness' 1944 masterpiece,"Elibris", accompanied
by the USF Strings. The USFSO welcomes composer Baljinder Sekhon back to Tampa as it performs
his stellar new work , "Stars". The program closes with Ravel's magical "Bolero". |
