Facility: | | School of Music (MUS) |

Description: | | "A Chinese In The West" - In 1928, American composer George Gershwin composed one of his
best-known works "An American in Paris," which described the sights and energy of the French
capital that he had experienced in the 1920s. Since moving to the U.S. in 1999, celebrated pianist
Lei Weng has travelled to many countries and experienced much diverse cultures. This program
reflects and conveys his view (a Chinese's view) of the musical world and styles, through an
elaborately selected set of repertoire that consists of some of the most representative piano works
from different contries. |
