“Improvisations in Form” |
Event Type: | | Seminar/Wkshop |
Facility: | | Fine Arts Hall (FAH) |
Presented By: | | School of Art & Art History |
Description: | | "pincushioned" with Barry Moon and D. Nottingham
Barry Moon's workshop is an invitation to students working in all media (including music, theater, dance, visual arts etc) to practice and use their media/medium with others from different media in an improvisational way.
In all art forms, including music, the software "form" of a work has begun to dominate spatial and temporal forms. In this workshop/performance, Barry Moon and Doug Nottingham will lead performers/artists through a series of exercises intended to draw comparisons and contrasts between various forms. The workshop will be of particular relevance to improvisers, regardless of their "instrument" (dance, paint, video, music). |
