The USF cellists present a daring program of contemporary works for multiple celli.  Sofia Gubaidulina's 'Mirage: The Dancing Sun' will feature eight of USF's cellists, and it is a work of 

transcendent beauty, written by Russia's great poetess and mystic.  Terry Riley's joyous and seminal work 'In C' will feature not only current cellists at the USF School of Music, but also cello alumni and 

friends from the Florida Orchestra, creating an orchestra of several dozen cellists.  This is a sonically stunning and rich program, one which audience members will find compelling and uplifting.
