Description: | | Join the University of South Florida Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable evening of cinematic magic! Led by conductor Matthew Wardell, the evening opens with the thrilling Main Title from Star Wars, setting the stage for an exhilarating journey through the legendary music of John Williams. Violinist Miles Serrano takes center stage with the first movement of Erich Korngold’s lush and soaring Violin Concerto, a work that bridges the world of Hollywood and classical virtuosity. The program continues with Williams’ sweeping and emotional Adventures on Earth from E.T. and the mesmerizing themes from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Audiences will soar with Flight to Neverland from Hook and experience the delicate beauty of Leia’s Theme before diving into the suspenseful and unforgettable Suite from Jaws. The night concludes with two of the most powerful and beloved themes in film music history - Jurassic Park and the imposing Imperial March from Star Wars. Join us at the USF Concert Hall for an evening of spectacular orchestral storytelling, celebrating the genius of John Williams and the timeless impact of film music. Admission is free and open to all. |
