Confluence: Dancing Across Cultures
DanceUSF and Beijing Normal University collaborate in an evening of dance

The USF School of Theatre and Dance is excited to welcome the Beijing Normal University Department of Dance to campus for a week of classes and cultural exchange culminating in a public 
evening performance on Friday, April 3rd at 8pm in Theatre 1 on the USF Tampa Campus. Professors from BNU will join with the USF Dance faculty in creating collaborative works that will feature 
students from both university programs.  These pieces, along with selected works from both universities will make up an evening concert.  Along with the collaborative works the concert will 
include a Classical Chinese dance piece, two Chinese modern dance works titled “The Monkey King’s Enlightenment” and “Dark Eyes,” USF Professor Andrew Carroll’s ballet duet “3am” and USF 
Professor Michael Foleys modern work “When We Fell,” along with 3 DanceUSF student choreographed pieces.  Tickets will be $5 for student, senior and active military and $10 general
