Description: | | USF professor John Robison (lute, Baroque oboe, recorder) and Anne Marie Scotto
(harpsichord/piano) present a program of music ranging from 1600 to the late twentieth century.
Included on the program will be solo lute music published in the year 1615 (Mertel, Vallet), and a solo
archlute sonata by Zamboni. The ensemble portion of the concert, with Anne Marie Scotto on
keyboard, will include a Trio Sonata for recorder, solo harpsichord, and continuo by Telemann, and a
Concerto for oboe, strings, & continuo by Albinoni (with guest artists Theresa Villani on viola da
gamba, Patrick Baran/Terry Rejko on violins). The event will conclude with a fascinating sonata by
Brazilian composer Osvaldo Lacerda (1927-2011) using Brazilian/Western ideas. |
