The University of South Florida Summer Drum Line Camp provides percussion students with 

experiences that will allow them to expand their musicianship at the individual and ensemble levels. 

Our High School camp gives musicians a challenging, positive learning environment based upon their 

current musical development. The focus of our camp centers around techniques related to Snare 

Drum, Tenor Drums, Bass Drums and Front Ensemble. Throughout the week campers will refine 

basics in hand position, stick height/placement and rudimental methods. In addition to fundamentals, 

campers will learn integrated exercises and full ensemble music that will be performed at Friday s 

exhibition. Campers will also choose an elective course (Composition, Concert Percussion, Guitar, 

Marching Band Leadership, and Keyboard) that they will participate in throughout the camp.
