A Different Frame of Mind |
Event Type: | | Exhibition |
Facility: | | Contemporary Art Museum |
Presented By: | | USF Institute for Research in Art |
Description: | | CAM has invited artists to produce new works designed to use recycled picture frames made available by the museum as part of ongoing efforts to find new methods for sharing resources and
creative capital with the community. From June 16 to June 24, the USFCAM West Gallery will be transformed into studio space available for the selected artists to work, with the public invited to
witness the creation of these new works. The process and development of each piece will be documented until the works are completed. On June 25 and June 26, USFCAM will host framing and
art hanging workshops as new works are closed into the recycled frames and put on display. On June 27 the studio space will then revert to a gallery space for the duration of the exhibition. Artists in
the exhibition include Ariel Baron-Robbins, Mike Covello, Derek Curry and Jennifer Gradecki, David Gabbard, Janet Pulido, and Sam Robinson. Curated by Vincent Kral, USFCAM; organized by USF
Contemporary Art Museum. |
