The USF School of Architecture & Community Design’s Design by Making Summer Program for high school students enables students entering grades 9 to 12 in Fall 2018 to explore architecture from a 
designer’s viewpoint. The 3-week program introduces participants to different design methods within a studio environment.

Working closely with faculty and community architects, participants experience different design 
challenges utilizing freehand media, model making, and digital design. In addition to daily studio workshops, the program includes several field trips to significant buildings and professional studios 
within Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Lakeland.

This program is not for college credit, but work produced in this program can be utilized by students in their university application process. For additional information contact Ryan Hughes via email at
