| Description: | | The USF Wind Ensemble will hold its first concert of the academic year on Sunday, September 30 at
2:00 in USF's Concert Hall. As indicated by the concert's title, "East Meets West" the program
includes music that represents cultures from around the globe including Ron Nelson's "Rocky Point
Holiday", Michael Colgras's "Bali", Henry Cowell's "Celtic Set", and Chen Yi's "Dragon Rhyme". In
addition we will feature Dr. Jeremy Brown from the University of Calgary as the saxophone soloist on
Kenneth Fuchs' terrific concerto "Rush". |
