Description: | | Dedicated to the performance of Baroque music on historical instruments, the Bay Baroque Ensemble presents a program of late Baroque masterpieces from Italy and Germany. Performing on the concert
will be USF professor Dr. John Robison (Baroque oboe, recorder) with guest artists Keri Grosso (harpsichord), Patrick Baran (violin), Kathy Johnson (violin), and Dr. Hao Yu (Baroque oboe). The
program features a concerto for two oboes by Antonio Vivaldi, a cl 5-part concerto/sonata by Johann Christoph Pepusch, and a virtuosic recorder concerto by Christoph Graupner. Hao Yu is professor of
oboe and instrumental conducting at Qingdao University in China, and is at USF for 2023 as Dr. Robison’s tenth Chinese visiting scholar. |
