Description: | | Native America: In Translation features diverse work by nine photographers and lens-based artists who probe the histories of colonialism, and photography’s complex and often fraught role in
constructing representation of Native cultures, to offer new perspectives on Indigenous identity and heritage, reimagining what it means to be a citizen in North America today.
Native America: In Translation is curated by Apsáalooke artist Wendy Red Star and expands on her work as guest editor of the Fall 2020 issue of Aperture magazine. The exhibition is organized by
