Nicole Yarling defies description.  "Discovered" and mentored by the great Joe Williams, her 
wide-ranging influences and experiences as a vocalist, violinist, and fiddle-player have resulted in a 
rich personal style and a very prominent position in the South Florida music scene where she has 
created a buzz in everything from jazz and R&B to experimental music.   Tours, recordings, and 
performances with such notables as Dizzy Gillespie and Jimmy Buffet as well as eight world tours with 
her own ensemble "Nicky and the Sticks" however have brought her international acclaim.  Currently 
on the faculties at University of Miami as well as Florida Memorial University she has degrees from 
Baruch College as well as an MM in Music Ed from Columbia University.

Nicole will be performing with members from the Jazz Studies faculty of USF.
