Cesar Cornejo has received awards from institutions such as the Creative Capital Foundation, New York Foundation for the Arts, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Art Omi International Artists
Residency, The British Council, The Arts Council of England, The Henry Moore Institute, Vermont Studio Center, Sculpture Space, Center for Book Arts and the Ministry of Education of Japan.
Solo exhibitions have been held at Gallery Lightcontemporary in London, Gallery Kobo Chika and
Gyokuey in Tokyo, Gallery Bellini of the Nomura Foundation in Yokohama, and Galleries Lucia de la Puente, ARTCO and Peruvian-North American Cultural Institute in Lima as well as at Art Positions of
Art Basel Miami 2011. Cornejo’s work has been included in group exhibitions such as the V Biennial del Barro de America, Venezuela; Biennial S-Files Museo del Barrio, NY; Busan Biennial 2008 in
South Korea among others.
Cornejo received an MA and PhD in Fine Arts from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and Bachelor and professional title in architecture from Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru. His
artwork is represented by galleries Lucia de la Puente in Lima and Art Front Gallery in Tokyo.
