Life is a Dream
Written by Calderon de la Barca
English version by Roy Campbell
Directed by Dora Arreola

A USF Theatre Production

An eclipse. A mother's death. A terrifying prophecy: the newborn Prince will be a tyrant that kills his own father. The king hides his son away in a prison to prevent the oracle's promise. But in doing so,
is he actually the cause of the prince's tyrannical nature? One of the greatest works from the Spanish Golden Age in a new staging by professor Dora Arreola asks if it is nature or nurture that make us
who we are.
